I found this basket for R15 at the charity shop in our area, I had to hold onto it tight, there were about 4 other ladies that would have grabbed it if i just thought of putting it down.
The handles were broken, and it had a couple of loose bits here and there, so I cut off all the handles and loose ends. I gave it a coat of Gripseal Wood Sealant in antique white, once it was dry I gave it another coat. Once it was all dry I added a little heart that I bought from Mr Price Home . This came together so quickly and I quite like the outcome. I am thinking this basket will look great in the bathroom filled with towels and toiletries, or in a bedroom with some linen. | This is what it looked like after all the bits and pieces were cut off. | I like to use this product, to stain wood and baskets, it is quite thin and really soaks in giving it a bit more of a natural look. It dries really quickly, and is easy to apply with a sponge or brush. Available at all good hardware stores. |
