Initially when I bought this frame from the charity shop I did not know exactly what I was going to do with it.  It was really ugly and full of holes, (I am really not sure what I saw in it) I filled the holes with wood-filler and let it dry, once the wood filler was set, I added another layer to make sure all the holes were properly filled.  I sanded it with fine sandpaper until it was smooth.  It was a bit rickety, but handy hubby managed to secure it with a few screws. :)
Two Coats of "Dove Grey" (It was more of a blue, but that was the name on the bottle) craft paint later, and I still was not sure what to do with it.

Once It was dry and I moved it into the house, it suddenly struck me!

I love hearts, and I have been collecting them for a while. I generally pick them up from markets when we travel, or from home stores. I have been wanting to make a heart wall for a while.

I organized the hearts in the frame and it just looked right, so once again I roped in the services of handy hubby to hang it all on the wall for me. I am quite pleased with how it all turned out.
In retrospect I probably should have cut a piece of hardboard and painted it, and then attached the hearts to it. That way I could move it as my whims take me. Fortunately for me we will be painting the wall soon , so I might still do that.
